Sarah Bell's Watercolour Workshops

Matisse painting holiday - September 2010 Having enjoyed her own painting holiday at Henri Matisse's villa so much last year, Sarah will be returning to the villa in September 2010 to run watercolour workshops and demonstrations. The art holiday is being organised by Jilly Ballantyne, who recently appeared on the BBC1 programme Modern Masters (click here for more information on the BBC website and the opportunity to watch the programme on iPlayer). Dates: Saturday 11th - Saturday 18th September 2010 Cost: prices vary depending on the room and whether or not you would want to share. Prices are from £650 each (2 sharing) up to £925 for Matisse's working room (a single occupancy without balcony). Location: The town of Vence, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France, staying at Villa le Rêve, the studio of Henri Matisse between 1940 and 1949. The town also includes other Matisse-inspired subjects such as the Chapelle du Rosaire de Vence, a small chapel for nuns that was built and decorated under a plan proposed by Matisse. Sidmouth painting holiday - May 2011 Sarah will also be teaching watercolours at a painting holiday being held in Sidmouth in May 2011. The painting holiday is being organised by Katherine Sidholme, and represents particularly good value as the art tuition is included in the price of your accommodation at the delightful Sidholme Hotel.
